The past few days I found myself once again looking for this life for fulfilment. It is a lesson quickly forgotten when a Christan hasn't been reading his Bible enough. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing , yet the in ward man is being renewed day by day. 2Corinthians 4:16.

I had forgotten a very simple principle. It should be blatantly obvious to you that this life is very short. Every day we live is a day closer to the day that our individual bodies death. If you are looking to earthly things for fulfilment you will be very disappointed. While we do not look at things which are seen,but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2Corinthians 4:18

The only true fulfilment to be had in this life time is to be through a relationship with Jesus Christ. You will only find content in doing what he tells you to do. All other things quickly become meaningless.
